Because God Cares for Me, I Have No Cares!

By Connie Giordano

"He who knows God cares for him need have no anxious cares about himself." - Adam Clarke

Do you believe that God cares for you - yes, even you?
Are you convinced that He purposefully concerns Himself with the things that interest you?
Do you realize that what affects you affects Him?

Read what the Scriptures say about this matter -

Psalm 27:10 - "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up."
Psalm 40:17 - "But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me..."
1 Peter 5:7 - "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you."

It is a known fact that God cares for you.
This happens to be one of His glorious attributes - that is, that He condescends to notice and regard the needs of His creatures.

Those cares that are so bitter and distracting which wound your soul and pierce your heart - He wants them. His desire for you is that you would commit your entire cause to Him. He - in turn - will enable you to bear with ease that which seems so impossible. He will give you the grace and strength to carry on.

Some of you right now are laboring under a heavy burden of care - whether pertaining to you personally, your marriage, family, relationships, job, ministry, church, future, etc. God wants you to know that if you will indeed "cast all of your care upon Him," He will do one of two things - order all of your events so as to ward off what you fear or support you under the burden of it - while walking you through it unto victory. He will order your steps so that hurt and harm will be avoided and much good will result.

Knowing that He cares for you should cause you to totally trust Him with your worries, anxieties, and problems. You easily see that He can handle them; whereas, you can't.

Do you really believe that God cares for you?
Are you convinced that He is on your side and with you through "thick or thin"?

How can you know for sure?

There are three ways to determine this fact. They are found in the following Scriptures -

Psalm 37:5 - "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass."
Psalm 55:22 - "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
Proverbs 16:3 - "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established."

When you are convinced that God cares for you, you have no problem "committing your way" unto Him. You realize that what you have to do and can't, He can and will do. Hence, you easily roll your "way," path, or course of life upon Him. You leave it with Him, sit still, and wait - believing that He will work it all out - clear up your innocency...remove all reproach...take care of your reputation...bring you out of all of your difficulties and straits with honor. All of your perplexing outcomes turn out well simply because you trust in Him.

When you know that God really does care for you, you have no problem "casting your burden" upon Him. You confidently know that He will carry, hold up, or make sufficient both you and your load - your  appointment, assignment, various duties, portion, or lot.- through an ample measure of grace and strength.

Lastly, when you are persuaded that God does indeed care for you, you have no problem "committing your works" unto Him. You become as one who rolls his heavy burden from his own back to that of One Who is much stronger and better able to bear it. Because you rest in God's enabling grace to see you through all times, various fears and cares are not able to toss you back and forth or place you in a hurry. Your plans, purposes, and counsels are satisfied through a steady even course which cannot be disturbed or thrown out of frame by any event or change.

Matthew Henry, the renowned Bible Commentator, made this comment concerning this subject - "The best remedy against immoderate cares is to cast our care upon God, and resign every event to the wise and gracious determination. A firm belief of the rectitude of the divine will and counsels calms the spirit of man. We ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done."

Also, he is quoted as saying - "To cast our burden upon God is to stay ourselves on His providence and promise, and to be very easy in the assurance that all shall work for good."

This is all well and good - but it will never be realized until you are persuaded that God does indeed care for you. You will never "cast all of your care upon Him" or resign yourself to His will unless you believe this important Scriptural principle.

Instead, you will find yourself always taking back all or a portion of the burden upon yourself.
You'll never realize the calmness of spirit promised to those who have grasped the truth that God cares for them.
Your mind and emotions will constantly be under attack from all kinds of fears - always wondering if things will turn out for good as promised.

Do you believe that God's Word is true?

Then realize today that He cares for you.
It is written in His Word that He does.
He is not a man that He should lie to you.

Where can you find four more powerful words than these - "...He(God) careth for you" ?

Don't allow the simplicity of what is being said here keep you from realizing the depth of its truth.

God does indeed care for you - no matter what you have done or not done, said or not said, etc.
He cares for you - PERIOD!

Are you convinced?

Then, get rid of those anxious "cares" that are weighing you down so heavily.

Do with them what God has commanded - "Cast" them all upon Him.
He never meant for you to carry them.
Give them to Him.
He wants them.
He wants them so that you can be free - free to serve Him.

Let Him has His way today, ok?

You'll be so glad you did.
